Responsibilities:

The Jacket Line Operator operates Operates extrusion and packaging equipment to encase cable core in extruded plastic compound and package the finished cable

Requirement:

The Jacket Line Operator will :

* Set up an operate extrusion production equipment following work instructions and machine standard to ensure that a quality product is produced.
* Operate several pieces of complex equipment and performs multiple tasks in a short amount of time.
* Perfors and record all applicable quality checks on the product
* Package materials according to packaging specifications
* Using a personal computer, make appropriate inventory transfers in SAP
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area including a complete clean up at end of shift.
* Identify and segregate scrap according to work instructions
* Clearly communicate the status of the work in process and any other factors that may affect work flow or product quality

In order to perform this job, you will need:

* High School diploma or GED
* Basic mathematical skills: able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole number, fractions, and decimals.
* Basic personal computer literacy for inventory transfers and data capture.
* Ability to work safely and take responsibility for the safety of others
* a current forklift license and the ability to operate a forklift safely
* Ability to clearly distiguish colors
