Responsibilities:

The Primary Line Operator operates primary extrusion equipment to encase bare wire conductor within extruded plastic compounds of various colors and types to meet exact product specifications.

This position is on Second Shift.

Requirement:

The Primary LIne Operator :

* Sets up and operates wire drawing, extrusion, and spooling equipment according to machine standard.
* Operates several pieces of complex equipment concurrently and manages multiple tasks a short period of time
* Follows work instructions and machine standards to ensure the production of a quality product
* Performs quality checks and records the results in either a paper format or on a personal computer
* Maintains a clean and orderly work area including a complete clean up at end of shift.
* Identifies and segregates scrap according to work instructions
* Clearly communicate the status of the work in process and any other factors that may affect work flow or product quality

In order to perform this job, you will need:

* High School diploma or GED
* Basic mathematical skills: able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole number, fractions, and decimals.
* Basic personal computer literacy for inventory transfers and data capture.
* Ability to work safely and take responsibility for the safety of others
