Role:
We are looking for the right individual to join our team as a Senior Java Developer focusing on our account opening and internal application development. The individual will be responsible for system design & implementation, application of best practices, and producing testable code. In addition, the individual will work with our business partners to understand their needs and ensure the systems are designed and implemented to support both immediate and long term objectives

Responsibilities:
* Participates in client interactions and business partner discussions, independently, to develop system solutions to business problems

* Works within established procedures to design, develop, test, and maintain application software. Recommends improvements to established processes, develops implementation plans, and assists in deployments.

* Performs analysis/design tasks which may require extensive research and analysis and documentation

* Must be well organized and self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision.

* Participates in production support and on-call rotations

* Troubleshooting and problem resolution of critical issues that may involve multiple systems and platforms, within a complex infrastructure

* Participates in, and initiates improvements to established team processes, design, and coding standards, and influences others to adopt

* Performs analysis/design tasks of a very high complexity which may require extensive research and analysis and documentation

Requirements:

* 8+ years of Java experience developing J2EE based systems with 3+ years working on large complex systems.

* Comprehensive working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Servlets, Struts 2, JSP, HTML, XSL, CSS, JavaScript

* Comprehensive working knowledge of JBoss, Weblogic, & Websphere application servers

* Comprehensive working knowledge of Java 5 or higher

* Strong analytical and design skills

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
