Job: SG - Animal Handler

Jobing Description

Principle duties include: daily cleaning of animal containment facilities, feeding, watering and documentation of daily health observations. Does include disinfecting animal rooms, cages, maintaining buildings and outside facilities. Candidate must consider safety at all times. Animal work may include all means of clinical sample collection (tagging, temping, swabbing, etc.), and vaccination. Candidate will record, process and document data. All work will be in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and Pharmaceutical policies. Candidate will work in an environment with varying odors and temperature. Overtime and weekend work required. Qualifications: Experienced in animal husbandry. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be familiar with general safety procedure and guidelines. Must be self motivated and have a strong attention to detail. Good communication skills required. Valid drivers license required (will drive company vehicle on an as needed basis). OVERTIME AND WEEKEND WORK ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS. NO TRAVEL REQUIRED. MANAGER LOOKING FOR DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE ON ALL REQUIREMENTS. THIS WILL BE NON-PRIMATE WORK ONLY
